FILES ON DEMAND · LARGE DOWNLOADS

Files on Demand CDN

Import your catalogue once and the CDN holds the copies: documents, archives, installers and media served from the closest node without your origin staying in the delivery path.

From $5/TB down to $2.50/TB, so 100 TB of downloads is about $415 a month · 14-day testing period on real traffic · $25 monthly minimum waived · Engineer reply within 3 business hours

What 100 TB of downloads costs

Progressive tiers work like tax brackets: each rate applies only to the traffic inside its range. Requests, HTTPS, custom domains and origin shield are included, and the rate is the same in Europe, Asia and America.
TIER 01

First 5 TB

$5.00 per TB
TIER 02

5 to 25 TB

$4.50 per TB
TIER 03

25 to 100 TB

$4.00 per TB
100 TB a month works out at $415
Each tier is billed only on the traffic inside it, so the tiers add up rather than replace each other. 25 TB is about $115, 500 TB is about $1,815, and above 500 TB a month we quote it for you.

Four catalogues that belong in the CDN

Files on Demand is for libraries that are served far more often than they change, and that you would rather not keep a server online for.

Software and installer catalogues

Installers, patches, disk images and asset packs up to 50 GB per file. Import once and every release stays available without your build server answering a single download.

Document and archive libraries

PDFs, manuals, price lists, ZIP and ISO archives. Catalogues that are read constantly and updated occasionally, where the CDN holding the copy is cheaper than keeping storage online for it.

Media assets that are not video

Audio files, high-resolution images, design sources and fonts. Everything a media team ships that is not a video stream, on the same zone and the same tiers.

Partner and press deliveries

Full-quality masters and press kits handed to partners on a signed link. Large, infrequent, and never worth exposing your origin for.

AdTech and MarTech

Banner creatives, HTML5 ad units, VAST documents, tag scripts, tracking pixels. Small files where tens of milliseconds decide whether the ad renders.

Education, docs and IoT

Course PDFs and slides, short lesson clips, subtitle files, map tiles, firmware and OTA updates for devices in the field.

Anycast CDN or Files on Demand?

Both deliver the same file from the same network. The difference is where the file actually lives, and whether your origin has to stay online.

Which one you want

How a file gets into the CDN

Give the origin link once and the import runs. Anything missing on the first request is fetched from a proxy URL you nominate, so the catalogue fills itself instead of waiting on a migration script.

Controlling who gets the file

Replication and import

  • Replicated across Europe, Asia and America: the same file is held in more than one region, so a node or a region going quiet does not take your catalogue with it.
  • Lazy import: if a file is not yet in CDN storage, it is fetched automatically from a proxy URL you nominate, so the catalogue fills as it is used.
  • Speed and traffic management: set speed limits per resource or leave bandwidth unrestricted, depending on what the catalogue is for.
  • Statistics and monitoring: track delivery and performance per resource through the API or the panel.

Full control over file access and security

BlazingCDN’s FOD CDN offers robust security features to protect your files, giving you complete control over how and when your content is accessed:

  • Advanced Access Controls: Limit access by IP address ranges, geographic regions, or through URL signatures to keep unauthorized users out.
  • Flexible Referrer Policies: Control which domains can access your files by configuring custom referrer headers, preventing unauthorized hotlinking.
  • Country-Based Restrictions: Block access from specific countries to comply with legal regulations or protect your content from unauthorized regions.
