Six files in one folder

Segments cut at request time

Repackaging, not transcoding: the edge slices the MP4 into 4 s segments while it streams, so quality stays untouched.

How Video CDN differs from a regular pull CDN

A traditional CDN caches from your origin and re-fetches on every cache miss. BlazingCDN Video CDN works as a cloud storage and distribution layer: we host multiple copies of your files inside the CDN and serve viewers from the geographically closest, least-loaded servers. What that means in practice:

Pre-import

Point us at your S3, Swift, Rsync daemon or Cloud Storage bucket and we pull the whole library in before the first viewer arrives. Best when a launch date is fixed and nothing may be cold.

Lazy import

Nothing to prepare. The first request for a file pulls it in, every request after that is served from inside the CDN. Best for long-tail catalogues where most titles are watched rarely.

Import API

Push a list of URLs through the import API straight from your encoding pipeline, and get a callback when each file lands. Best when new titles appear every day.
